Responsibilities/Benefits


Infrastructure and Delivery Engineer with excellent knowledge and hands-on experience of MS Exchange Server 2003/2007, Windows Server 2003/2008, Active Directory, SQL, IIS, ISA and Networking. Must have worked on and assisted with the design of large scale remotely managed Exchange deployments where knowledge of remote access, server farm topology, server monitoring and integration with non MS technologies such as Cisco Load Balancing and Firewalls have been deployed. Should have a thorough knowledge of web based technologies such as HTTP, HTTPS, SSL, DNS, DHCP and understand Windows IP networking. Exposure to Exchange Server 2010, SharePoint and ILM managed environments a distinct advantage.

• Respond to 3rd/4th line support issues
• Provide detailed system diagnostics and testing
• Clearly articulate proposed solutions/actions
• Utilise remote access, monitoring and diagnostic tools to effectively manage remote services
• Liaise closely with clients on technical requirements and proposed solutions
• Provide technical input to Project Management
• Contribute to creation/review of technical documentation
• Being based on client site as required

We are looking for candidate with the following skills;

• 3 + years hands-on MS Exchange experience
• 4+ years Windows Server 2003/2008 build and configuration experience
• Recognised Microsoft Technologies qualifications/training in Exchange 2003/2007
• Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience of Windows Infrastructure, Windows Server 2003/2008, Active Directory, Exchange, Windows Networking
• Excellent understanding of web based technologies, including HTTP protocol, DNS, SSL, State Management, browser/server transaction
• Experience of Software Release Process
• Experience of Change Control process

Desired Skills:

Knowledge of non Microsoft networking technologies, particularly Cisco Load Balancing and Firewall
