This well known college require a part time IT Help Desk Support Administrator to work for 17.5 hours per week spread over 5 days (Mond - Friday). Working in the Membership Relations, responsible to the Director of Membership Relations with day to day supervision by the IT Manager based in the City. Supporting the IT Manager to provide PC hardware, software and application support to all users. AS the first point of contact for IT related problems, you will be required to provide technical solutions to all users at all levels. provide support for various MS applications and other software packages. Troubleshoot and rectify faults that occur on hardware and software, and where, necessary liaise with other IT staff and or the appropriate maintenance companies. Upgrade and maintain all Software and Hardware, toubleshootingb file and print problems, performing regular inventory of all IT equipment, providing desktop and network support, Installation, Maintenance and troubleshooting of local and network printers, order all hardware, software, printers and computer consumables, SEtup IT hardware for meeting/conferences. Support the IT Manager to back up all servers. Undertake any other duties related to the job as required. The successful candidate will have previous IT helpdesk experience and at aleast 2 years experience of working in a computer environment. A comprehensive knowledge of windows operating systems (in particular XP and Windows 07) is essential. Proficiency in MS Office 03 and 07 applications. Strong Ms Outlook 07 client configuration and multiple user profiles. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proven ability to prioritise and make decisions, proven ability to work on own and take initiative, proven problem solving ability, completed or in process of completing a computer course.
