Infrastructure Engineer required to work as part of a team responsible for network and telephony cabling infrastructure design, planning, testing and support. Duties will include investigating and resolving faults within my client’s structured cabling Infrastructure, inventory management of hardware and software, planning and implementing office moves and basic configuration of network routers and switches. The role is based predominantly from my client’s Northamptonshire office with some travel to other UK sites.

It is essential applicants have proven experience within a similar structured cabling position and have a solid knowledge of Cat5 / Cat6 cabling including installation and patching. You must be a good problem solver ideally familiar with PC hardware builds and repairs along with a basic understanding of switches and routers is as you will be working with Cisco kit on a regular basis, a CCENT or CCNA would therefore be a clear advantage for candidates wishing to apply.

Candidates must hold a valid UK Driving Licence as there will be occasions when travel to other sites is required.
