Finance Data Systems Support Officer
Salary: £22,507 - £31,596
Location: Cambridge
We have a vacancy within our clients Management Accounts team based in Cambridge for a self-motivated individual to work as a trainee in the Finance Data Systems Support team. The successful candidate will:
* Collaborate with the team in the design, development, testing and implementation of technical solutions to 2/3 Major Finance projects and up to 10 minor task orientated initiative per year. Taking a lead role in up to 50% of these.
* Support 60+ existing solutions/applications implemented by the Finance Data Systems Support team.
* Manage multiple Report Models in SSRS, which are used to produce regular Management, Financial and Statutory reports.
* Support Finance staff in their use of MS Office Applications.
You will need to demonstrate knowledge of at least one of .NET Framework, VBA, VBScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, SQL Server, T-SQL. Show an aptitude for analytical problem solving and be a highly technically minded individual with excellent knowledge of MS Office applications including MS Access. Good verbal and written communication skills are also required.
A basic accounting qualification (AAT, A/L or equivalent) or an ICT qualification at A/L or equivalent would be desirable, as would experience of working in a Finance Department or knowledge of financial processes. It would also be preferable if you had previous experience of designing and programming solutions to deadlines as part of team, a good level of numeric reasoning and experience of manipulating large volumes of financial data.
You should also be able to follow your own initiative to get the desired results and be prepared to question and investigate alternative solutions if appropriate. Training/mentoring will be given in post with suitable external training courses/programmes.
