My client, a specialist IT consultancy, are looking for an IT literate Retail Manager. The Product consultant ,or IT Retail Manager wanting to move into IT, will have experience of working as a store manager, POS Super user or retail supervisor. They will have extensive retail experience and have an idea of how IT systems relate / are used within the retail sector. I am looking for someone in the Convenience, Retail or Hospitality space coupled with a solid understanding of stock, shrinkage and margins. Any experience in Merchandising systems or Head Office systems is ideal. The role is to working for a consultancy as a Product Consultant. You will be expected to work with Retail customers conducting workshops and working closely with customers in order to gain an in depth understanding of business processes and turn them into IT specifications. You will then be involved in the implementation of the Point of Sale system. There will be some travel in the role so you must be able to drive and be prepared to work away from home occasionally.
