Due to rapid expansion my industry-leading client has the need to recruit an additional SQL Server DBA into their West-Yorkshire based offices. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience of SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server 2008 administration in addition to a good working knowledge of T-SQL, stored procedures and SSRS deployment and support. Additionally any exposure to database mirroring and replication as well as SQL Server database security and virtualised environments is advantageous.

You will be working in conjunction with Server and Development staff and be responsible for the ongoing support of my client’s databases to ensure that they are maintained to the highest level, so previous experience of regular testing is essential. You will also participate in Disaster Recovery exercises and provide database support as required by reporting any issues to the relevant departments, therefore strong communications skills will be needed.

Key skills include:

• Excellent SQL Server 2005 and 2008 knowledge in addition to monitoring, maintenance and tuning
• Strong exposure to T-SQL and stored procedures
• Knowledge of SSRS 2005 and 2008
• Database mirroring and replication
• Exposure to Disaster Recovery and SQL Server database security is advantageous
