Client based in West Sussex is a leader in pharmaceutical technology. They are currently seeking a Software Test Engineer to compensate for business growth. In this role you will be responsible for, but not be limited to undertaking functional, usability, performance, automation and regression testing on all the organisations software products to ensure that the overall quality of the released software remains high at all times.

For this role you will require:

Experience of preparing test beds including all hardware, software and data. Experience of executing functional, performance, usability and regression testing. Experience of UI testing (look and feel). Experience of following software testing processes and policies. Experience of maintaining a system testing environment. Experience of measuring software quality and reliability. Solid understanding of internet protocols HTTP, SMTP, etc. Experience of TCP/IP networking. Linux system administration - especially network routing & configuration. Linux scripting (Python preferably)

Desirable skills include:
• Knowledge of testing process systems – for example QAtraq.
• Experience of UI usability testing.
• Experience of Selenium automated testing software.
• Working knowledge of NAT firewalls and web filtering software.
• PostgreSQL database experience.
Use of VMware/virtual box virtualisation tools.
• Understanding of certificate based security and VPNs
• Experience in training/mentoring other team members.
