Overall Job Purpose:
To proactively sell to a specified sector / territory the complete portfolio of SCC Software products including Microsoft, VMware and Citrix, through the prospecting and development of new opportunities via outbound telesales activity.
Main Duties:
- To proactively sell into SCC's territory the SCC portfolio of software products
- To target existing accounts and focus on the renewals side of the business
- Make contact with lapsed accounts to sell and upsell new software packages
- To achieve a monthly revenue and GP target in line with your individual targets
- By initiation to a lead or opportunity to work on focussed accounts
- To open a specified number of accounts on a monthly basis
- To profile the customers IT Estate and identify the wallet share opportunity and target and sell accordingly
- To proactively promote SCC's marketing campaigns into the customer base
- To offset post sales queries to the Sales Support function
- Ownership of end to end Sales process around the delivery of products and services to your target customers
- Maintain cooperative and productive inter-departmental relationships and procedures to deliver exceptional customer service at all times
- To maintain a high level of knowledge around the products and services offered by SCC
- Providing weekly and accurate forecasts and pipeline documents
- Maintain a general level of knowledge of the general IT market place and the specific marketplace within your market sector
- To maintain up to date records of all activities and pipeline with regard to your targeted customers including
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience in selling Software products and targetting clients for renewals and upselling Software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Telephone sales experience ideally inbound and outbound
- Clear evidence of consistent target over achievement in a profit margin driven sales environment
- Proven record of account development, in particular with a complex portfolio of products and services
- Good business acumen showing evidence of the ability to make sound business decisions
- Good time management skills
- Be able to demonstrate an ongoing interest to learn about and understand IT products
