Impressive Commercial Print & Cross Media solutions Business seek to appoint an intelligent, experienced and key individual to lead, develop and deliver the Data Processing requirements within their fledgling Direct Mail & Marketing Solutions services division.

Essentially the role is for a senior blend of the following skills;

Variable Data Processor
Strong data manipulation background. Key skills to include VB, Excel, Access. Knowledge of Indesign preferable. Mailing background ideal (history of mailsort techniques).

Programmer
PHP and or asp. Also strong Javascript and MySQL. Flash and Action script useful. PDF engine experience desirable, as is strong e-commerce background

This is a print focussed role, responsible for all aspects of print set-up and data management.

•Creation of basic data processing scripts
•Creation of SSIS/C# automated data-processing jobs
•Creation of end-to-end processes via automation software
•Programming texts to match client specifications
•Cleansing data using industry suppression files
•Writing script to produce high quality variable print solutions
•Proofing on high-speed/high-volume laser printers
•Testing of print-based logic
•Creation of reports to meet client specifications
•Liaising with relevant Account Manager to ensure work meets requirements

Skills and Experience

•Must have prior knowledge of a data management role or a data programming role

•Must be very comfortable using Microsoft Office; Outlook, Excel and Word in particular
•Knowledge of Digital Printing and finishing techniques
•Technical Mailing awareness e.g. Royal Mail, Mailsort and DSA
•Must be comfortable using Adobe Acrobat
•Some knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator is desirable
•Some programming knowledge in the following languages is desired:

-XM Pie and/or Pageflex is essential
-Indesign and Photoshop skills
-Very strong Access, Excel, Word, SQL knowledge (including SSIS)
-Bulk Mailer/ MatchIT/ Capscan/ Cygnus experience
-SQL including SSIS
-C# & .NET
-Printsoft Pres
-Visual Basic advantageous
