About The Role

The Senior Technical Analyst will form part of our Technical team within our IT function at our European Head Office, Birmingham. The Primary responsibility will be maintaining and monitoring our recently implemented corporate Cisco based network and store communications network. Other core responsibilities include uptime, maintenance, support and backup of San based storage architecture. The San systems are IBM and HP based and use Net-backup as the main backup utility. The systems being supported primarily run HPUX, Red hat and Windows as the primary operating systems.

About You

Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in an IT related subject you’ll have proven experience of working in a multifunctional team environment in a matrix structure - ideally in Retail IT. It is also essential that you are experienced in:

-Detailed Unix/Windows support.

-Cisco Hardware, Wireless Access Points, Voip, Routers, Switches, Firewalls and remote access systems. ASA, IOS, and PIX - Ideally with CCNA or CCSP certification.

-Juniper equipment configuration; SA4000 and SSG140, Firewall configuration; including site-to-site VPN tunnels and Firewall policy management. Strong working knowledge of NAT, VPN, IGRP and EGRP routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.

-SAN environments (strong hands on experience); HPUX, Redhat Linux and Window on IBM, HP blade centres.

Finally you’ll be comfortable working, when necessary, unsociable hours. There may also be the requirement to travel to work at European locations. * Language skills are also preferable for this role.
