computer engineer

My client, a well established independent IT company based in Halifax are looking for an additional computer engineer to join there expanding work force. Our client, an established IT consultancy, provides server and network solutions and support to small/medium sized businesses in the Halifax area
*Providing onsite technical support on IT, telecoms and networking.
*Helping to maintain computer networks and infrastructure while helping with installations of new equipment.

To be successful as the IT field technician you will need to have:

*A minimum of 2 to 3 years' experience within in IT support
*Extensive knowledge on Exchange server 2012
*A good level of knowledge on Windows, networking and virtualisation

So the key elements are repairing, diagnosing, configuring the following equipment

• ADSL modems, networking
• VPN’s, DHCP’s,
• Hosted services , mx records, redirection, virtual servers and RD sessions
• Exchange and office, remote mail
• Workstations and server hardware

The successful candidate will be Halifax based, with driving licence and have 2/3 years relevant experience. Excellent customer service skills are also required. This is an excellent opportunity for the right person, with great long term potential.
