Senior Systems Analyst
Accountable for:
*Documenting the current processes and architecture of the JLP Occupational Health Services.
*Clear presentation of options, with sufficient well-researched and accurate information on pros, cons, costs and risks allowing a well-informed choice to be made.
*Ensuring that all important factors are properly taken into account and represented, including strategic alignment of solutions as well as immediate functional fit to requirements
*Ensuring stakeholder understanding throughout.
Main Responsibilities:
*Research and document the existing main processes and systems support, gaps, issues and opportunities.
*Establish and agree business requirements, priorities and to be processes in sufficient detail to properly evaluate the fit of various options and to estimate the development effort needed to meet them.
*Identify all of the candidate options to meet them.
*Evaluate each in terms of :
*Degree of fit to requirements likely to be achievable.
*Fit with larger picture of systems support in PS and JLP more widely.
*Likely effort to achieve this fit, including costs of integration with other systems.
*Likely time, taken.
*An initial list of likely issues and risks arising.
*Assumptions made in doing the above.
Engage all key stakeholders throughout, so there are no surprises or misunderstandings
*Create a clear presentation of the pros and cons of each option, plus a recommendation with reasons, and proposing next steps.
*When an option has been selected, suggest an outline testing / implementation strategy.
Critical purpose of role:
To understand and document the current processes, technical architecture, and emerging business requirements for the JLP Occupational Health Service, to be called the Partnership Health Service (PHS).
To then consider and evaluate the options for a solution, based on either a package selection and integration or enhancements to current systems.
Finally to outline options for development with recommendations and an outline plan for the technical work required.

Relevant Qualifications/ Skills/ Experience
Mandatory:Successful track record of analysis, implementation and support of software developments.
Demonstrated success as the lead analyst on more than one significant software development project, including both buy and build projects, using formal methodologies.
Experience of CRM, contact management, employee scheduling for field service and/or service centre teams.
Demonstrated ability to derive robust user requirements quickly.
Demonstrated ability to keep stakeholders on board.
Experience of documenting as-is processes and systems solutions.
Experience of specifying and testing interfaces between systems
Desired:Has played an important role in at least one software/vendor selection process.
Experience of building and presenting business cases for change projects.
Experience specifically of Occupational Health functions would be an advantage.
Ability to find innovative ways of solving or pre-empting problems.
*Help with project definition, resourcing and initiation.
