* £28k - £40k

Requirements for Embedded Software Engineer (graduate / post-grads / post-docs):
* Academically brilliant - you should have all A's at A-Level (AAB will be accepted), and you will have attended one of the top 20 Universities in the UK or an international equivalent, where you will have gained a 2.1 or 1st class honours degree in a subject with a high programming content. It would be beneficial (although not critical) if you have then continued onto an MSc or Ph.D.
* Strong knowledge of programming in C/C++ in a multi-threaded environment
* Experience programming in a UNIX environment
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
* Experience in any of the following would also be beneficial - real-time embedded engineering / software configuration management / UNIX testing embedded software / porting operating systems / internet protocol stacks

Responsibilities for Embedded Software Engineer (graduate / post-grads / post-docs):
* There are currently 12 positions available within this client and they are looking to take on a mix of graduates through to highly experienced engineers.
* The roles will range across embedded engineering, test engineering and software configuration engineering - if they feel you are a good match for the company they will do a general interview to see where your background and aspirations will best-fit within the various divisions which are currently recruiting.
* An idea of some of the various responsibilities within the available roles are:
o Programming in C and C++,
o Specification, design and implementation of new products,
o Architectural and system design of applications in an embedded or server environment,
o Configuration management for complex software projects,
o Testing embedded products
