The Opportunity:

An opportunity exists for a middleweight level web designer to join an award-winning agency that's been wowing clients since 2001.

You'll be joining a growing team of highly creative designers, digital marketers and web developers.

The role will involve graphic and web design from concept through to finalised artwork, working for corporate and business clients from all business sectors. You will be experienced in, or have an aptitude for, web design. The ability to work with excellent attention to detail is paramount and you will ideally have previous commercial experience in a similar environment (ideally ‘agency-side’ or multiple project based).

Key tasks and responsibilities:

Design facing:

> Participate in design and marketing strategy brainstorms.
> Work on projects from concept and sketching to final design and asset creation for both internal projects and external clients.
> Develop highly creative designs within tight timescales whilst adhering to brand guidelines
> Assist in the creation of set brand guidelines and specifications.

Client & Project facing:

> Willing to be flexible and open to trying new and innovative approaches and solutions.
> Play an active role in client meetings.
> Continually strive to exceed client expectations.

Knowledge, experience and technical skills:

> Highly creative with excellent design acumen
> Ability to apply design to create intelligent User Interfaces
> Proficient in relevant software packages including Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator and InDesign.
> Good knowledge of HTML and CSS (ideally HTML5 and CSS3).
> Demonstrable skills in wireframing, UI design and infographic design are an advantage.
> Ability to work independently and identify and solve problems effectively and efficiently.
> Links or portfolio of previous web design work shall be required
> You must be passionate about digital graphic design and possess a real flair for producing professional, high quality and eye-catching graphics, alongside having solid HTML knowledge.

Education:

> Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
> Solid design portfolio in a design capacity as part of a creative team
