Our client is a mature organisation delivering IT products, solutions and services to businesses ranging in size from 5 to over 10,000 users. We supply almost any type of networking hardware and software. Our services range from ad-hoc consultancy, support and training through to fully managed IT systems.

We are seeking to recruit an experienced manager with a background in IT Vendor relationships and product management to fill a Vendor Manager position. Reporting to the Sales Director, this role will involve managing and developing relationships with accredited vendor partners, as well as liaising with Distribution Vendor/Product Managers.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic individual, who has the motivation to work hard in a target driven environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will take on the following responsibilities:

To improve and maintain relationships between Vendors, Sales teams and Management.
Managing and negotiating marketing development funds per vendor in co-operation with Marketing Director.
Managing Vendor relationships.
Reporting and forecasting.
Co-manage Vendor Solution Sales opportunities with Account Managers and pre-sales specialists.
Manage Vendor deal registration, business cases and price support negotiations.
Manage related Vendor sales processes
Crossing selling from our vendor product portfolio.
Stock management.
Building and maintaining 'sales tools' and pricing details.
Liaising with Vendor partners to develop sales training programs
Liaising with marketing to develop marketing strategies, activities, web copy and sales documentation for Vendors. The Person

Proven managerial experience of similar IT Vendor relationships.
Background in product management
Knowledge of CRM.
Ability to work on own initiative, as well as in a team.
Ability to work under pressure
Target driven.
