Our client's business is at the very heart of the London banking community and is a stable member and well regarded institution within city finance circles. Our client's IT systems help support the trading of items such as derivative swaps and fixed income products. As one of just two tier one preferred recruitment partners for IT, we have been asked to assist in the recruitment of a permanent Java Developer (J2EE, JPA) to work within the Collateral and Liquidity department.

The successful Java J2EE Developer will be required to work on a series of strategic development initiatives within a new transformational program of work.

Key skills / experience:
*Experience of developing Java EE / J2EE / JPA based web applications
*Knowledge of web application servers (ideally Tomcat, WebLogic, JBoss)
*Solid experience of working with Spring
*Knowledge of database systems (ideally Oracle and SQL)
*JMS API exposure
*Experience of working with Maven
*Portal development experience
*Experience of working within the investment banking sector - collateral, payments or cash management experience ideally
