Exciting opportunity for a middle-level Business Analyst with a couple of years experience to join this market leading software solutions provider.

Ideally, successful Business Analysts will have in-depth commercial experience working as a Business Analyst within the software solutions SME arena.

My client has steadily grown in size and stature year on year so are looking to compliment their ever growing team of technical professionals with a forward thinking Business Analyst.

Their team of technical professionals are based in their prestigious offices on the outskirts of York which are easily commutable form Hull, Doncaster, Beverley, Goole, Brough & Scunthorpe.

What you will be doing?

One of the key objectives of the role is to seamlessly deliver and improve the business side of implementing a new ERP system and adding value to the solution for the customer so you will need to be logical and proactive in your thinking and hopefully have a background including a mix of pre sales consultancy, business analysis, implementation consultancy and even project management.

Whilst supporting the sales team in an ERP consulting role during the product demonstration, you will also be required to capture, analyse and document any identified changes that will be required to modify the standard software solution to meet the customer's specific requirements.

Adopting the role of a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for creating detailed functional specifications to represent the customer's requirements and these are to be presented to the Software Development Director, or Product Specialist, to enable a costed proposal to be created for the sales team.

In an Implementation capacity, you will be responsible for assisting the company's Project Management function to deliver the solution that was defined during the sales process. The level of assistance could include the delivery of training on specific areas of the solution or even leading the implementation of various modules of the solution.

You will be responsible for the delivery and implementation of any software modifications that were identified during the pre sales consultancy, for which you would have created the functional specifications. Prior to delivery, you will be responsible for creating the test scenarios and scripts to ensure the developed software modification can be tested by the company Software Tester. You will need to be quick at picking up new skills and technologies. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, and is both hardworking and positive with the ability to work independently and as part of a bigger team in a collaborative manner.
