IT Support Engineer - Graduate - Leicester - £15k

A junior / graduate IT Support Engineer, ideally with knowledge of VoIP technologies, is required by a leading IT business based in Leicester.  A starting salary of up to £15k is offered depending on experience.

--- THE ROLE ---
This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate who will have the following:
- A degree in IT or related subject
- Strong knowledge of Windows environments inc Server and networking
- Any knowledge of PHP and SQL would be highly desirable
- Any experience in IT support is advantageous

--- DUTIES ---
- Ensures proper and consistent communication of status to the client and Hostcomm Management in accordance with SLA’s and Maintenance agreements.
- Responsible for ensuring service request records are updated in a timely and thorough fashion to include details of activity, current status and go-forward action plan toward resolution. Ensures that service request is closed with documented details upon issue resolution.
Recognise when difficult technical or business issues may require further resources. Acts as sponsor for escalation of those issues and is responsible for gathering additional data as required by escalation points.
- Acts as primary escalation point for support cases associated with technical issues encountered by Professional Services and/or Partners in the context of a project. Responsible for working with Professional Services or Partner Consultants to troubleshoot and resolve project related technical issues.
