Description Trainee Patent Attorney – Life Sciences, Liverpool

Location: Liverpool City Centre

Our client is a reputable patent, trade mark and intellectual property company with a patent attorney vacancy aimed at a recent graduate.
They are looking for a graduate or postgraduate in the area of life sciences to train as a patent attorney in their Liverpool office.

Our client’s Liverpool office currently has nine attorneys and the successful candidate can expect to be part of an expanding team to build on the firm’s established reputation.

Person requirements
It is anticipated that the trainee will be trained by both a biochemist and an organic chemist; therefore a solid foundation in both of these areas is preferred, to enable the trainee to understand inventions in these areas.

Candidates should possess an excellent academic background, pay great attention to detail, have excellent written skills including the ability to express themselves clearly and with focus, and display good interpersonal skills.
Degree requirements
A degree or postgraduate qualification in a biotechnological or chemical subject is required.
