Description		Our client is a private limited company employing over 1000 permanent staff. They have established themselves as one of the foremost contractors with in the UK's pipeline, civil engineering and utility construction sectors. They are currently looking for a Commercial Manager to work in the Warrington area to look after the post contract commercial aspects of civils cumbria including hands on work on some contracts and supervision of others on other contracts. Responsibilities The success of commercial management of the civils cumbria area/region. Liaising and reporting directly to the civils cumbria manager and also liasing, Directing with and reporting to the DCL Head of Commercial. Duties Standard Quantity Surveying duties which include but not limited to, applications for payment, preparation and agreement of final accounts, dealing with subcontractors in terms of procurement, interim payment and final accounts. Cost and value reconciliation, claims perparation if and when required Drafting and issuing commercial correspondence. It is essential that the candidate has experience within the water industry, contract rather than client, ideally both but mainly contractor. Claims/contentious items experience and negotiation and also be able to work without close supervision
