We are looking to recruit a Construction Director to oversee the delivery on capital expenditure on multi million projects.
The role will be to take the lead on every capital expenditure construction project which will be up to the value of £35 million. This will involve many different partners internally and externally to deliver these to time and on budget.
Therefore the Construction Director role will be instrumental in leading and motivating all staff and contribute towards the strategy, values, aims and objectives of the Projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Actively promote the Project interactions and joint ventures are fully coordinated.
* To ensure, at all times, the interests/risks are represented professionally.
* Development and implementation of project strategy agreed with other Directors and play an active role as a senior member of the team.
* Development of Strategy and assurance that staff understands ownership of tasks as delegated.
* Development and implementation of business plans and budgets.
* Development of organisational arrangements, systems and processes to enable efficient, effective deployment of resources.
* Monitor and control costs of suppliers and sub-contracted labour throughout the projects.
* Setting, developing and delivering high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
* Implementation of company policy and procedures throughout the Contract.
* Ensure compliance to, statutory, Quality and other standards and rules laid out in the Q.A. Procedures and other Company Policies.
* Provide leadership and direction for the teams, supervise and support individuals to ensure they meet objectives.
* Accountable for Staff development and succession planning, salary reviews, staff appointments and disciplinary/capability actions with input from the HR team.
* Develop and motivate the teams fostering a high level of co-operation with all employees.
* Working with other directors and senior managers to achieve significant growth and delivery of services.
* Develop and sustain relationships with key customers ensuring the highest quality Management and contract retention/enhancements are delivered.
* Development and delivery of robust internal and external performance reports, accurate financial and KPI performance reports.
* Ensure compliance to Revenue Expenditure limits and refer above agreed levels.
We are looking for a Construction Director or Project Manager with a minimum of 5yrs experience of delivering multimillion projects from conception to completion. With an understanding and ability, to communicate at all levels.
