Our client has been in existence for 15 years and supports people with learning disabilities to lead ordinary and fulfilling lives.

Their strategy is to continue to redirect the organisation from one that not only supports people to be in the community but also enables them to build sustainable lives and succeed within them.

Currently the company has an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to provide leadership and direction in the provision of high quality support services within the central division.

This is a varied role and you will be expected to contribute to the overall management and development of the company. Working closely with the Director of Operations, you will promote company objectives in order to support growth and development inline with agreed plans and strategies. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the division has a workforce that, in terms of numbers, skills and attitude, works positively and effectively. This will involve the development of people using various methods including performance reviews and training.

It is essential that the post holder takes measures to ensure that the people supported within this division receive high quality, person-centred support which delivers the outcomes that they have identified for themselves. You must ensure that services are value for money, operate within budget and meet the requirements of contracts, legislation and regulations.

The successful candidate will have experience of managing and developing person-centred support for people with learning difficulties, a creative and business oriented approach to management, and the drive and self-motivation to work under your own initiative. Communication is key in this role and it is important that you possess the ability to build effective working relationships with both internal and external customers.
