Curriculum & Resource Lead - Logistics and Business Improvement Techniques programme areas
Salary band £28,000 - £36,000
Full time permanent post (40 hours weeks)
Home based role with national travel as required.
The successful post holder can be based anywhere in the country, although most of the Employers that they would be visiting are midlands and south, so these regions may be more ideal.
Travel will be required around the UK to visit Employers. As an estimate approximately 2-3 days per week will be out in the field, with the remainder home based.
PURPOSE:
To be responsible for ensuring the development of sector specific curriculum and supporting resources that meet the needs of employers and learners and is of a high quality.
CONTEXT:
To ensure that learning and skills development is work based and work placed to meet the exacting needs of employers and learners whilst complying with accredited qualification specifications and assessments.
To lead the development of a high quality and innovative teaching and learning curriculum across the company client groups.
To be responsible for the creation of learning offers, and provide inspirational and supportive leadership to the management team with respect to bespoke provision.
To lead the development of curriculum content which meets the needs of young people, adults and employers whilst working within external funding and high quality requirements.
KEY OUTPUTS:
To lead curriculum and resource developments to meet the needs of employers and learners.
Promote, develop and implement an inclusive curriculum which challenges learners and promotes achievement, through effective teaching and learning methodology
To work with Programme Area Managers in leading the planning, monitoring and assessment of the curriculum provision
Contribute towards outstanding practice in national development and initiatives
Develop strategic relationships with Awarding Bodies and Sector Skills Councils to enable the development of curriculum and apprenticeship frameworks

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:
Educated to degree level or equivalent
Leading Curriculum Development within the sector
Demonstrable ability to translate standardised curriculum into teaching, learning and assessment workpacks for all stakeholders
Professional Development and Working with Others
Recent experience of teaching in a work based learning environment
Extensive knowledge of the learning and skills context
Experience and skills gained working across a range of learners - in terms of age and ability
Recent knowledge of the Common Inspection Frameworks
Experience and skills in contributing to academic planning
Knowledge of quality improvement and raising standards
Experience and skills in team working and leading projects
Experience and skills in meeting targets and deadlines and producing documents of a high standard.
We require applicants to have qualified teacher status - B Ed, M Ed, PGCE
The post holder may also hold an A1/V1 or TAQA qualification
