Warehouse Systems Consultant

The Role

The Warehouse Systems Consultant will work alongside the Distribution Centre Manager in assisting with the setup and improvement of the new Warehouse Management System (WMS). The main roles and responsibilities will include...

·Help coordinate the WMS project and support the ownership, delivery and subsequent use of Red Prairie

·Ensure the efficiency and smooth running of the newly implemented WMS.

·Anticipate potentially problematic areas and implement preventative solutions.

·Analysis of systems and procedures and implementing improvements.

·Support the Project Manager and the rest of the project team in the delivering the project on time

·Enhance knowledge of Red Prairie Workforce Management and industrial engineering principles

·Give recommendations on how to improve productivity within the warehouse.

·Determine how best to use the workforce to achieve maximum productivity

·Ensure processes are clearly defined.

·Point of contact for any queries regarding Red Prairie

·Reduce waste movements within the processes

Warehouse Systems Consultant

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have the following skills experiences and attributes...

·Experience in setting up new systems and overhauling WMS.

·Knowledge of Red Prairie would be ideal, but not necessary.

·Extensive knowledge of various WMS.

·In-depth knowledge of logistics and supply chain management.

·Ideally experience of managing a large distribution centre.

·IMS qualification in work management is desirable

·Thorough understanding of work measurement is essential

·Proven project management skills

·Experience of working with external third parties
