Description A company who are market leaders in the design, manufacture and distribution of standard and specialist keyboards are looking for a Design Office Administrator.

The role will include:-

• Updating and changing the engineering system – used in house
• Creating and updating spreadsheets on the computer system (Bills of materials)
• Build paperwork that provides a hard copy of the build must be created and issued.
• Controlling the exported products and liaising with clients regarding their specifications.

The bills of material is a comprehensive package which details the components for each and every product range and variant and exactly how they are assembled, this includes a computer code that should be loaded and the test methods which should be followed by the design office. The role is to assist with making sure this system is up to date and created accordingly.

The role requires an individual with good intellectual, numeracy, literacy, and planning skills.

The information that must be recorded and presented originates from the development engineers. The packages used to produce the documentation are Microsoft Word, Visio and Excel.

Training will be provided on the manufacturing system software.

The role would suit an experience administrator with attention to detail with figures/accounts or a graduate accountant as there are a lot of figures to work with (i.e. part numbers etc) and a good deal with paperwork to keep up to date and logged correctly.

It would be advantageous to have some experience in the electronics industry or an interest in digital photograph as the company include still images in their documentation of the products manufactured.
