Description		Development Research Technician is required to work in Peterborough for an Automotive company. We are looking for a Development Research Technician for an Automotive manufacturing company in Peterborough. To support Product engineering for a wide range of services from new engine development to updates on current products. They are looking for a technician to work as part of the Emissions Facilities Engineering Team responsible for the efficient operation and accuracy of all emissions measurement equipment. The client is looking for a candidate to be trained within the company. The candidate needs to of had electronics/electrical experience and be able to trace basic circuits. Being able to read diagrams and fault find is also important. The experience is more looked upon then qualifications. Your main responsibilities will include: Fault diagnosis on emissions measurement systems and ancillary equipment Calibration, tracable to national standards, of emissions measuring systems Follow and complete procedures to both internal and external (eg, ISO and EPA) emissions on emissions facilities and equipment Build equipment, systems and rigs to support the emissions sampling and measurement process Assist in the specification, design and installation of new equipment It is an advantage if you have a HNC qualification in Instrumentation/Electrical/Electronic engineering or equivalent. Experience with calibration and maintenance of Horiba Gaseous emissions systems and operation of heavy duty diesel engine test cells is also desirable Engineering or automotive background is a distinct advantage You will be working 37 hours Mon - Fri The salary is up to 19,731 - 24,663 per annum depending on experience MAIN PARTS: Electrical/Electronic experience Fault finding (does not need to be to component level - basic) Read Diagrams Instrumentation exp (preferred) Trace circuits (pneumatic) Methodical/routine experience The benefits will include: Pension 10% bonus based on performance Overtime rates Sick pay 25 days holiday Matchtech Group Plc is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
