Description		Our client is a leading Organic and Healthy Foods Manufacturer which spans international and domestics markets. They promote a healthy way of living targeting those consumers who have a desire for superior, improved; beverages, snacks and specialty foods. It has an entrepreneurial environment with an informal meritocracy structure. This ever expanding company is looking to employ an Occupational Health and Safety Advisor, to; � Assist in and proactively manage the environmental, health and safety risks. � Support the Occupational Health & Safety Manager in ensuring compliance to corporate standards and to comply with statutory requirements. � Actively support, promote and develop Occupational Health Services. You will be managing the screening and surveillance of both company sites and generating the necessary documentation to support it. Conducting medical reviews of employees returning to work following absence, with regards to performance, attendance or general referrals will be required. Assisting employees in issues relating to mental well being by the provision of counselling and support is expected. This role has an element of training employees in relation to the working environment. Assistant in the identification of occupational health and safety problems and implement remedial actions as required will be part of the role as well as conducting risk assessments and advise management on identified risks. In addition, conducting joint assessments where specialist advice is or may be required e.g. hazardous areas, PUWER assessment, fire assessments, etc is a pre-requisite of this role. Other duties in this role are to: � Continuously drive improvements in H&S audit, Total Incident Rate and other EHS KPIs. � Contribute to the development of policies and procedures. � Organise the Environmental Health & Safety Committees�, ensuring appropriate advice is tendered. � Assist in the management of evaluation of the Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems and in conjunction with line management, participate in and encourage the promotion of safety consciousness at all levels within the organisation. � To complete ad hoc Human Resources projects as required. � To perform any reasonable task required by management. Requirements of this role are as follows; � RGN with Occupational Health experience. � Experience in pre employment, audiometry, spirometry, driver and night worker medicals. � Sufficiently qualified to carry out assessment, accident investigations, audits and inspections. � Ability to demonstrate sound knowledge of current health and safety legislation and its application. The company is typically looking for someone that is proficient in this role and has proven track record in carrying out duties of this nature.
