Description		Project Controls Manager Our client is a major international diversified contractor, with a reputation as a market leader. They have an exciting and challenging portfolio that includes projects within the rail, civils, construction, infrastructure and PFI markets. They are one of the top 20 building contractors in the world, and one of the top 5 in the UK. The company has recently expanded its planning department across all levels, and has recruited around 12 planners in the last 2 months. A unique opportunity now exists for a Project Controls Manager to head up this function. This is an excellent role in a diverse organisation, and you will be guaranteed a variety of world-class projects. In order to apply, you will have at least 7 years project controls experience. This will preferably have come within a rail or construction environment, although candidates from a different sector may well be given consideration dependent on skill set. You will initially be office based in North/Central London, with a view to working on different projects within the M25 area. Essential skills: -The ideal candidate will have spent a minimum of 7 years working in a Project Controls environment -Preference will be given to candidates with experience of rail, construction or infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate would be experienced in all 3. -You will be proficient in the use of P3 planning software, and have experience of using it in a commercial environment -Experience of P3e planning software is an advantage but not essential -Previous London Underground experience would be helpful -Previous management experience would be an advantage also You will work within the Project Controls department, and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to): -Earned Value Analysis -Costing and forecasting -Creating detailed project plans -Progress monitoring and progress reporting -Communicating with the department internally, and clients and contractors externally Remuneration: Salary will be dependent on amount and type of experience. Realistically for this position, my client will pay between �40,000 and �55,000. There is also an excellent benefits package, which will include car allowance, company pension and healthcare.
