Quality Assurance Team Leader
Loughborough

£18k to £20k Salary & Benefits


Our client is one of the largest producers and suppliers of convenience foods in the UK and they employ over 200 people at their Loughborough site.

THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the Quality Assurance Manager, you will manage the team of QA Auditors and provide a technical support function to the production team ensuring the site is complying with relevant food quality, safety and legality standards. Your duties will include;

• Manage and continuously improve the QA systems
• Audit of QA tasks and records to ensure they are completed in full
• Issue the monthly QA rota
• Carry out training and staff reviews
• Deal with day-to-day queries from the production team
• Conduct weekly traceability and follow through any non-compliances
• Investigate customer complaints
• Compile weekly KPI report for Management Team
• Member of the site HACCP Team

THE PERSON
You will be educated to A Level or equivalent in a science related subject (Chemistry, Pharmacy or Biology) or have previous experience in a similar role. You will have knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice and Good Distribution Practice ideally within a Food environment.

You will have to be a good communicator, both verbal and written, and an ability to compose accurate and detailed reports, along with strong analytical skills. You will be self-motivated, computer literate, a team player and be able to work in a demanding and busy environment.
