Due to our continued expansion within the company and the growth of our Technical Team we are looking to engage a Technical Team Manager at our meat processing plant in Turriff Aberdeenshire.

Here you will work in a multi-disciplinary management team providing objective expertise and making a full contribution to the continuing success of the business. Assisting in the implementation of robust procedures, you will ensure that we continue to deliver exceptional products that are safe, legal, ethical and successful.

Reporting to the Technical Manager on site and having strong relationships with the Central Technical Team, this role ensures that the technical function is carried out effectively and consistently at all levels. You will maintain and update the quality management systems making sure that all policies, procedures and standards are adhered to and that all procedures relating to product safety and standards are documented.

You will be a highly effective relationship builder as you will be liaising daily with both internal and external suppliers such as vets, BRC/ISO. You will be accountable for ensuring that all suppliers are BRC approved and conform to specification. Through spending time with Colleagues on the shop floor you will have full visibility of all H&S requirements and cascading that out to the business to promote a safe working environment.

You must have substantial, relevant, meat industry experience coupled with a good working knowledge of HACCP with an appreciation of relevant legislation, compliance issues and food product technologies. A strong track record in the food manufacturing or food retail industry is also essential.

With a can-do attitude and keen awareness of how your role impacts on our commercial success, you will work effectively with other areas of the business to ensure that our Meat products are exceptional.
