Job Title: Tooling Engineer
Location: Hampshire
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 (plus benefits)

The responsibilities of the role are as follows:
· Advising Engineers on material selection.
· Assisting Engineers in ensuring part designs are optimised for tooling and production
· Ensuring tooling is designed to meet requirements and made to specification
· Attending tool trials to ensure they are conducted correctly, reviewing the results and producing the necessary documentation
· Troubleshooting while the tool is running to assist the suppliers to resolve issues
· Overseeing tool trials and advising suppliers how to optimise the processes to yield consistent parts that meet drawing
· Develop and implement production capability, evaluate prototypes and feedback improvements
· Co-ordinate and run training sessions on Lean and Six Sigma tools relevant to manufacturing processes
To fulfil these requirements you must have the following skills / experience:
· HNC or better in a mechanical discipline with experience in developing parts and tooling
· Plastic injection mould tool design experience is essential
· Ability to read, analyse and interpret complex engineering and technical documentation. This includes an understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing.
· Track record in material selection
· Experience in the design of plastic components
· Hands-on experience at trials, analysis of samples and capability study analysis
· Experience in conducting Design Of Experiment tests and analysing the results is advantageous
