Process Improvement Manager - Cornwall - £50K plus Bonuses

My client is looking for an expert in Lean and Six Sigma to provide strategic continuous Process Improvment by providing a hands-on approach to analysis of variables and establishment of Process Control.

Reporting to the Site Manager, and being an intrinsic part of the site operations team, you will be required to facilitate and manage the roll out of Lean/CI based approaches, across the whole operation.

Duties of the role are as follows;
This role is essentially focused on bringing a scientific/technical approach to the internal processes by identifying variables in order to fundamentally improve processes.
You will be required to develop a continuous improvement culture through training, coaching and mentoring employees in Lean /6 Sigma methodologies, tools, techniques and best practices.
You will actively lead teams in problem solving efforts and continuous improvement projects to improve quality reduce cost and improve cycle time, overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and other process efficiencies, etc.
Implement standardised best practices and embed into the quality management system.
Coach and mentor project leaders and teams in the correct use of continuous improvement methodologies and tools to ensure timely completion of projects with positive financial payback and improved customer satisfaction.
Deliver Lean/Six Sigma training (where appropriate)
Develop training materials, programs of study and additional services as required raising awareness and application.
Partner with Management and Champions to identify & select high impact projects that link with business and customer priorities.
Communicate results throughout all levels of the organisation. Provide analysis and feedback to Management on project status, activities, improvements and savings.
Drive more effective mechanisms for replication, knowledge-sharing, and strategic leveraging of best practices created by local Continuous Improvement project teams throughout others sites within the Group.
Develop and implement a governance model to review the deployment of the continuous improvement strategy and the ongoing continuous improvement projects.

The successful candidate will have;
An Engineering / Science degree and will be Black Belt in six sigma
A proven track record in delivering significant performance improvement in all areas of the business.
Extensive hands on experience of leading and facilitating VSM, work place organisation and Kaizen events such as SMED, 5S, etc
Knowledge and experience in implementing TPM would be a major advantage
Highly motivated Change Agent who challenges the status quo and is committed to driving a Culture of Continuous Improvement
Confident, persuasive, adaptable, results orientated with excellent communication skills

This is a new position specifically intended to establish Process Control and Improvement with a large well established National organisation.

This position is detailed with a salary of £50K (with a relocation package possibly available)

Please note; This position is based in Cornwall and will require the successful applicant to be able to travel to the site every day.
