HEALTH & SAFETY MANAGER

You will ideally possess the following attributes:

Dedicated, hard working with the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team

Highly organised, ability to forward plan, ability to manage and prioritise work load

An excellent communicator with a proven ability to liaise at all levels and possess sound written, numeracy and IT skills

Hands on approach with ability to influence all relevant people

Experience in manufacturing environment

Self motivation and tenacity to drive the safety agenda forward

You will be expected to successfully address the following:

Driving site safety initiatives to further develop existing H&S systems and compliance with H&S legislation

Proactively identifying and recommending new initiatives to improve safety performance

Provide advice and support to all managers, supervisors and employees on H&S issues in a timely and accurate fashion

Perform site inspections and audits H&S practice to assess compliance and areas for improvement and highlight best practice

Promotion of a positive health and safety culture

Delivering presentations and training

Ensure accidents, near misses and hazards are thoroughly investigated and that appropriate prompt corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence

Analysis of key metrics and preparation of facility reports
