Salary: £18,000 + Out of hours on call allowance of £1,709

The Role: Logistics Assistant / Logistics Administrator
To support and co-ordinate logistics projects on site by following established procedures and guidelines. Using independent judgment to provide timely and effective support to the management team within the Logistics Department.
Responsibilities will include:
Analysis of information from SAP using results to make recommendations to improve the performance i.e. optimising costs and delivery performance of products.
Perform other administrative tasks using independent judgement and discretion. Plan, organise, and schedule own workload so that these activities are completed accurately and on time. These activities may include preparing a variety of documents and attending meetings to support the managers.
Contribute to planning and decision-making within the logistics team so that the strategy and performance is aligned with other business strategies.
Develop recommendations for changes to processes and systems that will minimise risk, improve performance and productivity, and ensure that the organisation complies with all relevant regulations, laws, and standards.
Be involved in one off ad hoc projects as required.
Available for out of hours call service.
The Candidate: Logistics Assistant / Logistics Administrator
Previous experience within the manufacturing sector is essential
Previous warehouse and logistics experience operating between multiple sites is needed
The ability to deliver excellent customer service in a pressurised transport and logistics environment.
Must have the willingness to work the hours required to complete the job.
Knowledge of SAP systems is desirable
Must be flexible to travel between two Cardiff sites.
Accuracy & clarity in both written/verbal communications is required
Candidates must be proficient in the use of Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel & Outlook.
