Logistics Planning Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen within this blue chip global OEM for a logistics planning specialist.
The key functions of this role are to ensure the seamless flow of products into the production facility to ensure maximum productivity and the seamless flow of new products introduced.
This will include
Design and procurement of packaging
Maintain data to support internal and external logistics planning
Ensure new parts are planned for in terms of space and location
Monitor logistics costs
Develop and maintain SOP's for material function.

Experience spanning the below subjects within relevant manufacturing / assembly environments are required:

Material flow, layout & storage solutions
Internal & external logistics operations
Assembly kitting concepts.
Packaging and PFEP knowledge.
Standard Work & Time Study.
Visual Aides & Standard Operating Procedures
Supply chain or project planning.
