Environmental Engineer

Working as an Environmental Engineer within a global market leading manufacturing business with multi billion £ turnover. They have over 200 operations in over 30 countries worldwide employing over 50,000 staff. The company is renowned for innovation in its products, its process and procedure. The safety record of the company globally is exemplary. This position is to be located at the business's Birmingham plant.

The main purpose of the role is to Oversee and coordinate environmental aspects of the site operations to ensure ongoing compliance with legal and other requirements. Leading and supporting environmental improvements across range of issues in all areas of facility.

The role with involve regular reporting to site EHS Manager. Ability to coordinate and prioritise workload and tasks with guidance. It will also be necessary to work effectively with regulators, corporate contacts, peers at other facilities and neighbourhood groups/individuals in the local community.

Applicants should be qualified to degree-level or equivalent education in environmental discipline. Posses experience of ISO14001 management systems and auditing. With knowledge of environmental legislation within the UK in particular Environmental Permitting. Experience with environmental projects across a range of aspects/subjects (eg contaminated land, environmental noise).
