Job Purpose:
To effectively manage the Bills of Material originating from Marketing, Product/Process Design, Manufacturing and Order Management groups that require creation and changes, within Team centre and SAP, to support Engineering to Release functions.
This is a full-time position in a Mach 1 environment.
Qualifications/Experience:
College or university degree is highly desired, or equivalent job experience.
Knowledge of SAP, Product Change Control processes and procedures, and Manufacturing Engineering.
Product knowledge specific to the plant.
Some Product Change Control or Manufacturing Engineering experience.
Previous experience as a Local Change Coordinator, Product Change Control Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer.
A background in Product Change Control, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing/Operations is highly desired.
Responsibilities:
Locally, this position may be referred to as BOM Manager 1.
Collaborates with the Design engineer and EDCI to ensure the quality of the jt BOM originating from the Product Design (iPi) Team centre application to the Manufacturing Team centre application to be used by Manufacturing Engineering in making visual process plans (VPP).
Responsible for the data integrity of the Manufacturing Bill of Material (mBOM) that passes from Team centre for Manufacturing (VPP) to the Enterprise Resource Planning system (Mach 1).
Initiates effort between Engineering and IT to interface sales model information through PLMSync and mBOM Utility
Works closely with product engineers to provide timely release and implementation of new models, major product updates and miscellaneous changes.
Responsible for executing the end to end Bill of Material process. Responsible for participating with all Mach 1 process areas to ensure the end to end quality of the Manufacturing Bill of Material, which ensures accurate supply chain and plant production execution.
Collaborate with Engineering Services (EDS) to process engineering packages and manufacturing changes, including all NPI (New Product Introduction) proto, pilot and ramp up projects and maintenance releases and changes
Collaborate with the Local Change Coordinator to process engineering packages and manufacturing changes including all NPI (New Product Introduction) proto, pilot and ramp up projects, maintenance releases and changes and CPPD (Concurrent Process & Product Design) team involvement.
Reviews new model introduction product model structures with NPI teams and related groups. Serves as an integral member of the NPI and CPPD teams influencing the product model structures to minimize differences between the released eBOM and mBOM thereby minimizing the proliferation of manufacturing only part numbers.
Responsible for the creation and maintenance of Variant Rules for Product structure on Sales models and top level items.
Required to work effectively with diverse, cross-functional groups in order to execute the Bill of Material process, by understanding the integrated nature of Mach 1 data.
Follows progress of releases and changes and provides guidance to resolve problems.
Assists leads from other Mach 1 process areas when needed. This includes system support as well as an understanding of the end to end process.
Job Requirements:
Strong understanding of integrated processes, including but not limited to engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain.
Solid product knowledge
Strong collaborative, interpersonal and negotiation skills in order to drive the Bill of Material process across multiple departments within a business division.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to creatively solve complex problems.
Understands company policies and procedures.
CPS Functional Job Role Qualified in Product Change Control, Manufacturing Engineering or Engineering Services.
Responsibilities:

The jobholder knows in advance the details of what needs to be done to serve customers and the standard procedures in place to accomplish it.
They can change different parts of the standard approach to serve customers best, but cannot add or delete procedures without approval.
Salary/Rate: Up to £38950
