Role Purpose & Overview:

Manufacturing Engineering (Assembly, Test & Finish) provides the framework for making critical business decisions that affect how our Client's products are made.
The Manufacturing Engineering Team defines and deploys the physical assets (machine tooling, equipment, etc.) into world-class production lines for manufacturing engine products. Being an innovative and technologically aware department enables continuous improvements to be made to existing production processes ensuring advances are made in all areas of People, Quality, Velocity and Cost.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly flexible, motivated, skilled, committed, dedicated and enthusiastic Manufacturing Engineering team, working with the latest systems and equipment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the continued success of the company, progressing and developing our world class manufacturing facilities and providing technical expertise and guidance necessary to design, develop and implement manufacturing systems, complex manufacturing operations and sophisticated machines.
Key elements of this role will be to ensure that installed processes are performing to plan against PQVC (People, Quality, Velocity, Cost) targets.
The role will also have responsibility for ensuring seamless new product introduction in line with business requirements, and the continued improvement in quality. Qualifications / Skills & Experience: Essential:

Degree qualified in an engineering discipline or relevant work experience.
Detailed knowledge of manufacturing Lean techniques.
Process orientation background, ideally from an automotive / aerospace assembly or medium / high volume series production.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft office - Word/Excel / Project.
Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.
Previous experience of process planning and subsequent installation of manufacturing equipment. Desirable:

Project management experience.
Experience of working on CPS / 6 Sigma projects.
Working knowledge Team Centre Engineering.
Working knowledge of 3D modelling. Key Responsibilities: This role develops, monitors and maintains manufacturing processes that deliver against People, Quality, Velocity and Cost metrics defined by the business.

Responsibilities include:

Working along side operations, maintenance, and quality teams to support the production of our 6 Cylinder engine assembly facility, Jointly responsible for all aspects of the manufacturing engineering processes and equipment.
Developing new systems and processes to address both internal and external quality issues to meet and exceed business targets
Actively support the successful introduction of new product into series production.
Provides the application, procurement, processing, installation and capability of new manufacturing equipment.
Work along side the engine design teams to support them in the design of new components ensuring that parts are suitable for the production process.
Manage technical and commercial issues with equipment suppliers
Provides manufacturing technical support in process control and internal certification.
Provision of regular updates on project progress and associated open issues to management.
Project manage cross-functional activities and teams to deliver projects and close issues.
Contribution to 6 Sigma projects, Rapid Improvement Workshops (Kaizen) and Value Stream Transformations to improve PQVC metrics.
Provide guidance and assistance as required to eliminate systemic machine reliability issues.
Ensure that all quality documentation and associated equipment is in place and to the standards (Process Plans, PFMEA, Control Plans and associated Gauging, Visual Aids). Key Relationships: ● Quality
