Within the role of Environmental Engineer, you will be responsible for the management and monitoring of regulatory requirements and site operational environmental aspects; including waste, water, effluent, air, noise, soil and groundwater.

The ideal Environmental Engineer candidate will have responsibilities such as;

Being the environmental conscience of the Plant - drive activities and programmes across all activities and areas of operation
Support Internal Audits with regards to Legal Compliance, ISO14001 and Best Practice.
Lead External Audits from an ISO14001 perspective
Drive environmental objectives, targets and management programmes; lead environmental projects
Be the overall contact for environment for HTP, for both internal and external bodies. Key contact for all external bodies/authorities

The ideal Environmental Engineer candidate will likely have the knowledge and experience of;

Educated to Degree level or HND with engineering experience
Managing compliance to UK regulatory and legal requirements, ideally in an automotive industry
Ability to train at all levels
Skilled in public relations

Performing the role of Environmental Engineer, duties will include;

Environmental Management System
Communication and Environmental Incidents
Environmental Aspects and Programmes
Environmental Risk Assessment
Target Setting, Achievement and Continuous Improvement
Control of Contractors
Control of Hazardous Materials
Waste Management
