THE ROLE
The key day-to-day tasks of the Development Technologist include:

• Manage and execute factory production trials reporting on technical product issues
• Liaising regularly with customers worldwide in regards to project updates and ingredient formulation
• Carry out product suitability analysis within the laboratory
• Responsible for the selection and testing of suitable additives / ingredients to improve product performance
• Support the trouble shooting process for external product issues

THE CANDIDATE
Key attributes of the Development Technologist include:

• Strong scientific knowledge of food chemistry
• Experience from a development related role within food products such as flavours, emulsifiers, starches, ingredients etc.
• Degree in Food Science/Technology or related scientific discipline
• Excellent presentation skills to deliver first class customer service
• Possess an excellent market awareness and up to date knowledge of trends in the food industry

The role is based in the Midlands and is paying to £30,000 depending on experience.
