Description A leading Biotechnology company based in Cheshire urgently requires a Business Development Associate.

My clients is a specialist provider of experimental and computational ADME services to support ADME/toxicity and pharmacokinetic assessment fro drug discovery partners.

The Business Development Associate's main responsibility will be Account Managing the company's clients throughout Europe.
Some of the time will also be spent on lead generation / new business development.
The Business Development Associate will use the company's CRM system to log activity. In addition to this you will need to ensure the effective control and approval of business documents such as standard proposals, pricing, contracts and protocol templates.
As a member of the Business Development team, you will use your knowledge of pharmaceutical and biotechnology R&D along with feedback from clients and others to inform the Product Development Manager of opportunities to evolve or otherwise enhance and expand the company's product and service offerings.

Type of Person
- The Business Development Associate will be science or technology orientated with a strong focus on strategy and commercial issues.
- The Business Development Associate will preferably have experience within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry with business experience. Ideally the candidate will have direct experience of the challenges and rewards of drug discovery.
- The role requires excellent interpersonal skills to influence and gain respect at all levels in an organization from bench scientist to the board room.

Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Scientifically qualified, ideally with an advanced degree in science or business.
- Record of achievement in sales / business development from shaping tailored solutions in pharmaceutical R&D, negotiating legal agreements through to closing deals and managing customer relationships.
- Experience gained in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology business.
- Exceptional verbal, written communication and presentation skills with the ability to operate and share a compelling vision at all corporate levels from the bench scientist to the board.
- Ability to retain focus while delivering against multiple tasks and maintaining a consistently high quality of work.
- Fluency in English.

The position will be office based in Macclesfield, Cheshire. Occasional travel will be required.
The Basic Salary offered for the position of Business Development Associate will be ca. 22-30K (flexible and depending on experience) + EU Company Bonus + benefits
