It is famed for its quality of service, superb standards of food and its facilities within the 100acres on this promontory overlooking Robin Hood�s Bay between Scarborough and Whitby. Due to the constant development of facilities and standards this new position has been created to assist the General Manager in taking the Hotel into an exciting future. We are seeking a candidate who has had experience of a similar position in a hotel of around 60 bedrooms with a strong F and B trade. They should be looking to join a hotel run in a similar way to that of a privately owned establishment and one that will give opportunities for more senior development in the future. Your Main Responsibilities will be as follows: 1. To raise standards levels in all departments to achieve an 80% AA 3 Star rating. In particular levels of service in Housekeeping, Bars, Front of House, Night Service and Restaurant. 2. To raise levels of cleanliness throughout the hotel front and back. 3. To plan and oversees all functions (including conferences, dinners and wedding etc). 4. To achieve budgeted cost percentages for labour, liquor and housekeeping supplies and laundry. 5. To act Personnel Manager overseeing the welfare of all staff members. In conjunction with the General Manager to acquire appropriate staff, oversee their induction and to ensure appropriate documentation is provided and created. Ensure suitable uniforms are always provided and maintained. 6. To ensure appropriate levels of discipline are maintained in conjunction with our advisor Drury PSM. To only have the authority to suspend on full pay for 24hrs if required 7. To deputies for the General Manager in her absence. It must be noted that all of the above responsibilities refer to the Lodges. Qualities Required For Suitable candidate 1. Ambitious to develop with Methodist Holiday Hotels into more senior positions within the coming years. 2. At least two years experience in a management position in hotels of similar size and style. 3. Capable of integrating into a close-knit cohesive team in a hotel operated as though it were a privately owned establishment. 4. A requirement to join a company on a long-term basis.
