Description Position – Account Executive. - Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director

The Candidate and Personal Qualities

Experience required:

•Extensive experience of working within the generation rental/plant hire sector.
•Electrical knowledge background. Or willingness to learn.
•Educated to GCSE ‘O' level standards.


Essential

•The applicant is to be a self-starter and come from a commercial business background.
•Posses business to business skills.
•Highly motivated and forward thinking.
•High levels of energy and enthusiasm.
•Proactive and proven experience in networking at all levels.
•Strategically minded with lateral vision.
•With excellent customer/internal relationship and telephones techniques.
•Strong negotiating, planning, administration and computer skills.


The Role and Key Responsibilities:

•To effectively plan your calls and appointments, within your geographical area of responsibility, submitting your forward planner each week.
• To visit an average of 25 customers or potential customers per week and advise them on their requirements for generators, lighting towers, ancillary equipment and installation, and all other services the company offers
•To negotiate and deliver profitable revenue for the company against agreed budgets.


•To constantly seek out potential/prospect customers in niche and more profitable sectors.
• To interface with the Hire Desk staff and Directors and keep them appraised of all opportunities for the development of accounts/ problems as they occur.
•To facilitate the opening of new accounts – 4 per month.
•Prepare quotations and tender documents for submission to customers.
•To take turns by an agreed rota, to man the Out of Hours Service.
•You may be required to attend business related functions out of normal working hours, when your conduct should be to the highest standards.
