Our highly successful client who deals within the sporting sector is currently looking to employ an experienced Sales Director/Manager to sell advertising and sponsorship contracts to high end corporate clients.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Director of Sales (“DoS”) is responsible for co-ordinating and managing all commercial activities to ensure that turnover and profit targets are met or exceeded.
While principally focussed on corporate hospitality, sponsorship, advertising sales and on attendance and spend, the DoS is also required to work closely with the Director of Sales for Hotel, Conference and Events and golf to achieve turnover and profitability targets in those areas.
A key function of this position is the management, rostering and delegation of duties to the sales and marketing teams at the company to ensure adequate cover is always available when required and to provide administrative and other sales support for the sales team.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Qualifications - Preferably a Sales and Marketing qualification, ideally to HND
Experience - 5 years in sales management within a leisure/hospitality environment with direct accountability for sales/commercial/financial/client management and responsibility
Personality - Enthusiastic, determined and target-driven. Energetic and willing to lead by example. People-orientated with an open, participative, team-based management style. An excellent communicator at all levels across the business and with customers. Strategic thinker. Team player. Organised, systematic, analytical and process driven
Competitive basic salary plus excellent commission.
