Internal Sales/Estimating Engineer

Location: East Midlands

Salary: £24,000-£28,000


Background:

My client manufactures precision polymer based products for the aerospace, defence, pharmaceutical and general engineering markets.

Role:

Co-ordinate internal sales activities, principal duties include the following:

Manage customer sales process from initial enquiry to delivery.
Interface commercially and technically with customers and suppliers.
Process enquiries.
Determine and set prices.
Prepare costings, estimates, quotations and proposals.
Occasional visits to customers / suppliers.
Work in a small team and dynamic environment to support and grow business.


Essential Attributes:

Working knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings.
Knowledge of polymer materials and associated processing techniques.
Numerate.
Good communication skills, written and verbal.
PC proficient (MS Office).
Excellent organisational skills.
Able to work under pressure and make decisions.
Work using own initiative and be self motivated.

Desirable Attributes:

Familiar with aerospace standards and materials.

Qualifications:

Mechanical Engineering or Polymer Engineering (Modern Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, ONC, or HNC)
