Synopsis: Business Development Sales Consultant to convert sales leads into business and ongoing to account manage the business. You will need a proven track record of selling complex service solutions in the business to business arena. Experience of selling HR services or dealing with HR managers / directors would be beneficial. Our client is a specialist HR Consultancy combining expertise in business psychology and behavioural change to provide end-to-end strategic HR solutions. You will be a professional sales / business development executive with a track record of achievement in new business and account management. C £40k basic ote ote £60k plus car allowance, pension etc.

Business Development Consultant – Sales

Main Job Purpose

Generate profitable sales against target through effective lead management, personal prospecting activity and client relationship management.



Main Accountabilities

• Contribute to the management of the company’s Sales Opportunity Management (SOM) system using SalesLogix, as agreed with the Business Development Manager – Sales.

• Follow-up and generate sales leads in accordance with the Sales Opportunity Management system.

• Design and execute personal sales campaigns aimed at our target market sectors.

• Convert sales leads into profitable business.

• Assume the role of Account Manager for nominated clients.

• Act as Commercial Manager for specified product/service streams as agreed with the Business Development Director.

• Provide CRM enabling support to Consultants in accordance with agreed procedures.

• Participate in and follow-up exhibitions, conferences and other events ensuring that personal contributions are focused on adding value.

• Interrogate SalesLogix reports to monitor specified aspects of sales activity and results.

• Evaluate sales activities against agreed objectives.

• Provide reports to the Business Development Director and other colleagues as required.

• Reporting to the Business Development Manager
• Proactively design and execute sales initiatives to target sectors in order to achieve agreed personal target
• Manage specified client accounts
• Develop and manage long term client relationships
• Participate in marketing events and campaigns
• Provide expert commercial/sales support to Operations colleagues

• Proven track record of selling complex consulting or service solutions
