Port Office Coordinator

Grays, Essex

£15,000 - £18,000 – Excellent salary depending on experience
+ £1,500 potential overtime.

Our client, an international logistics company based in Grays, is looking for a Port Office Coordinator to join their team. This position is based on a shift pattern and you may be expected to work weekends.

Port Officer Coordinator will be responsible for:
• Liaising with customers to advise and assist in the movement of goods.
• Preparing and distributing all relevant Border Agency (HMC) and internal documentation.
• Ensuring Customs documents are available for drivers.
• Notifying the Marine Dept (POT) of any hazardous goods.
• Checking and receiving export documentation and updating dossiers in computer systems.
• Liaising with suppliers.
• Updating the port system with current containers on quay for shipment.
• General administrative duties, such as filing, photocopying and postal duties.
• Covering the required overtime that is necessary for the full operation of the office.

The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping and transportation.
