Due to expansion there is now a vacancy for an IT Sales / IT Business Development Manager to join a leading IT company. T Sales / IT Business Development Manageryou will offered a salary of c£35k basic + commission. IT Sales role is based in Gillingham, Kent.

Job Function / Overview:

• The role is initially focused on new business acquisition, although the post-holder will retain and develop accounts won, thus it will become a blend of new business and account management. Initially 80% of your time will be office-based, the remaining 20% in the field, but this may alter as the role evolves.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Outbound selling of IT services to national prospects across the public and private sector e.g. local councils, building societies, high street retailers, utilities, city firms etc
• Working to meet and exceed sales targets
• Adopting a sales style that develops over time, rather than one suited to ‘rapid fire’ sales
• Identify and qualify opportunities, applying appropriate sales strategies to individual situations
• Manage meetings, quotes, bids and tender responses efficiently and effectively
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of opportunities, and provide a forecasts

Candidate Requirements:

• Graduate level is highly desirable
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets and be able to conduct the full sales cycle from prospecting to account management
• Must have business to business sales experience
• Experience of selling professional services or must have experience of tailoring a solution and/or building an appropriate package of services
• Must have awareness of high level IT related issues and terminology
• Experience of face-to-face meetings
• Formal sales training (e.g. Pareto, Meta Morphose, CIM) is highly desirable
