Our client specialize in the design and supply of equipment used in the treatment of domestic and industrial water and wastewater, and as a result of recent positive restructuring and a series of strategic acquisitions that have provided the organisation with recognized trademarks, cutting edge technology and access to new markets, they offer a complete range of both solutions and products on a Global basis and are seeking to recruit an experienced Sales Manager to complement their existing team.
Working within the companies Energy division and reporting to the Director of Sales, the successful candidate will coordinate the activities of a team committed to sales and marketing of an expansive company portfolio of technology and process solutions to the global Energy sector with particular focus on the Oil & Gas upstream and downstream markets and customers working within these areas.
As an experienced and successful proven Sales Manager, ideally able to demonstrate success in the Oil and Gas or Water Treatment sectors, you will be instrumental in establishing sales strategies for specific projects and for the market in general, developing and maintaining effective relationships with existing, new and potential clients and both identifying and advising upon trends in the industry that would impact on sales and specific product lines in the market. You will effectively market and sell capital projects to the Energy sector and will work closely with the Proposals department to provide responses to customer enquiries, reviewing said proposals and orders technically and commercially and preparing all necessary materials for handover of sold project to the Project Management Group, as well as delivering presentations for potential clients at regional and national trade shows and providing associated written sales reports, forecasts and yearly sales budget as required.
Qualified to at least HND or above in a relevant engineering discipline and IT literate in the MS Suite of packages, to be considered for this varied and extremely challenging yet rewarding role, you will demonstrate proven sales and key account experience, preferably gained within the Energy Oil & Gas industry and essentially Technical knowledge of water treatment processes used within the Energy sector including ion exchange, desalination and reverse osmosis techniques, with experience of selling engineered capital systems of more than £1m value.
