£14,000 basic, OTE around £16,000 - £21,000
My client is a large travel insurance company located just outside Romford, the nearest train station is Harold Wood. They are currently looking for a number of people to join their sales team.
Your main responsibility will be to take incoming calls from customers wishing to obtain a quote for their travel insurance, running through medical questions and selling the insurance over the phone. You will be targeted in terms of converting calls from a query into a sale.
You will be expected to maintain data integrity by recording and updating customer records accurately. My client specialises in providing travel insurance to people with medical conditions and the elderly so you must possess very good communication skills and be comfortable speaking to people from a variety of backgrounds.
As with all sales positions you will be a self starter who is driven and focused on achieving goals and targets. Previous sales experience is essential and product training will be provided.
You must be able to handle rejections and be committed to providing quality customer service at all times. Experience in a telesales or sales executive role is preferred although face to face sales experience will also be considered. You must be able to demonstrate that you have achieved targets in previous positions.
Please note that you will be required to work on a shift basis between 8am and 10pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Saturday and 10am to 5pm Sunday. You will work a maximum of 35 hours over 5 days in a single week.
